SafeWork SA has established a HSR recognition program that enables businesses, workers, or others to nominate a HSR for their commitment to safety.
The recognition program forms part of SafeWork SA’s Health and Safety Representative Strategy and is aimed at highlighting the work of HSRs and how they contribute positively to their workplace.
HSRs are involved in the everyday challenges of work and take on the additional role of representing workers in matters of safety. The SafeWork SA HSR Heroes program aims to shine a light on the great work of our HSRs in helping to keep South Australian workplaces safe.
A HSR can be nominated by a co-worker or manager, the employer, union, industry body or they can nominate themselves.
