Unions advocate for workers’ rights and aim to foster a fair and safe working environment in South Australia.

They also advocate for the well-being of workers by raising awareness about potential hazards and promoting best practices in work health and safety.

There are also a number of professional associations which represent workers.

Together with employer organisations, unions are represented on the SafeWork SA Advisory Committee.

The SafeWork SA Advisory Committee provides advice to SafeWork SA and the Minister and creates a high-level forum for stakeholder consultation, work health and safety matters and strategic direction.
