SafeWork SA inspectors will be auditing play areas both in metropolitan and regional areas, primarily focussing on childcare centres and schools.
Audits undertaken will determine if appropriate control measures are in place to protect children from injury, including regular maintenance checks of equipment.
Inspectors will educate playground operators to ensure they are informed of their work health and safety obligations, responsibilities and how to appropriately manage risks.
