The Long Service Leave Regulations 2002 (LSL Regulations) are due to expire 1 September 2017.
The LSL Regulations, made under the Long Service Leave Act 1987 provides details of records to be kept by employers, 'notice to worker' requirements, along with applications to the Industrial Relations Court and Commission.
Given the impending expiry of the LSL Regulations, SafeWork SA will be conducting a review to address technical or typographical errors, as well as modernise the layout.
It should be noted that the review is not intended to lead to policy change regarding the application of the long service leave provisions in South Australia.
We are seeking your input to help improve the LSL regulations when they are remade, to have effect beyond 1 September 2017.
Please inform us of any issues you encounter or see with the current LSL Regulations and any potential changes for consideration.
