General safety information
SafeWork SA reminds everyone about the hazards and risks associated with working with machinery and on farms, and the importance of identifying what can go wrong and how to prevent or minimise harm before carrying out the work. Where possible, workers should try to work with another person in carrying out changes or repairs to machinery. When working alone or remotely, it is important to remember to prioritise your safety and to take precautions such as working more slowly, regularly communicating with others and taking regular rest breaks.
Our Farmers' Guidebook to work health and safety offers practical guidance on managing risks related to working on farms
