Martyn Campbell, SafeWork SA’s new Executive Director, is looking for a dynamic, driven and results orientated Senior Executive who can drive and deliver significant reform across the Regulator. This is a challenging role with significant difficulties but is also a golden opportunity to shape the regulatory compliance and investigation capabilities for the future.
As part of the new SafeWork SA Executive Team, this position provides leadership and overall management for the delivery of strong, fair and consistent regulatory services in line with Work Health and Safety (WHS), Industrial Relations (IR) and public safety legislation.
Transforming the Regulator into an agile, responsive and modern regulator, the Director, Compliance and Enforcement is responsible for the delivery of a coordinated and consistent approach to workplace compliance including responding to complaints, delivery of targeted audit campaigns and requests for mediation from stakeholders in an open, transparent and inclusive manner while preserving an independent decision making role.
Responsible for the co-ordination and execution of all investigations undertaken by the agency, the Director, Compliance and Enforcement will ensure investigations practices deliver responsive and contemporary services.
The successful incumbent will have extensive people management experience, ability in leading effective workplace and culture change and supporting highly professional and diverse teams, preferably within a compliance context. High level stakeholder relationship experience, proven ability to act with integrity and confidentiality on sensitive matters and a thorough understanding of the appropriate use of regulatory authority is essential.
