Young people are more likely to be injured at work and are often unfamiliar with workplace hazards and safety procedures, including their rights regarding working conditions.
This website aims to provide you with valuable information and resources about working conditions (industrial relations) and work health and safety (WHS).
All young workers are entitled to be treated fairly at work in an environment that is safe, healthy and free from discrimination and harassment.
If you are a young worker, your employer is required to provide you with information and training about workplace hazards and safe work practices that are suited to your knowledge and experience.
Youth@Work also acts as a gateway to other websites that young people may be interested in. Use the ‘Useful links’ tab to navigate to these websites or go to ‘Find out more’ for fairness and safety at work!
