HAIR2HEART – HEALTH AND SAFETY EDUCATION FOR HAIRDRESSERS
SPEAKERS: Tess Byrnes and Steve Parker – GP Plus Super Clinic Noarlunga
CONTENT: The Hair2Heart Hairdressers (H2HH) project, funded through the SafeWork SA Small Grants program, is an OHS initiative developed in response to community need.

This often leads to workers, many of them young people, feeling stressed and mentally overwhelmed themselves. This can potentially become a workplace OHS issue.
Come along to hear about the H2HH project, which is in the process of being rolled out in Adelaide’s southern metropolitan area. Could this have applications for the hairdressing industry in your area? Could the learnings and outcomes from this project have application to protecting employees from stress and burnout in your ‘people’ industry or workplace?
Elements of the H2HH project to be discussed include targeted mental health and wellbeing/communication skills training and information resources.
AUDIENCE: Hairdressers, apprentices, trainees, employees, new workers, employers, small business owners, general public, HSRs, OHS professionals, trainers, rehabilitation and return to work coordinators.
