Safe Work Week 2011

Register your Workplace Safety Activity

Congratulations to Western Hospital for their Health and Wellbeing - Keep Fit Stay Safe workplace safety activity.

Safe workplaces begin with employers and employees working together to develop safe systems of work. Attending Safe Work Week 2011 sessions is a great way to raise awareness of workplace safety issues and learn how to adopt a risk management approach to occupational health and safety.

If you can't attend one of the workshops and events held during Safe Work Week 2011, involve yourself by running your own safety activity in your workplace.

Organising an event doesn't need to be expensive or time consuming. It could involve a simple activity to get people thinking about safety at work.

Choose your own activity or use one of the activities in the attached flyer (PDF 226KB) and promote Safe Work Week 2011 in your workplace by displaying the awareness poster (PDF 513KB).

You could be in the running to win two tickets to the Safe Work Awards 2011 cocktail function valued at $150 by registering your workplace safety activity. The closing date to register your workplace safety activity is Friday 14 October.

By running a workplace safety activity during Safe Work Week 2011 you are playing your part in reducing workplace death, injury and disease in this state - you will also boost staff morale and increase productivity in your business.

Good luck!
