Welcome to Safe Work Month 2009

Safe Work Month is South Australia's major annual occupational health, safety and welfare (OHS) event, offering employers and workers the opportunity to attend FREE workshops across the State on workplace health and safety.

The Safe Work programme included a full week of events dedicated to a regional district. For example one week was dedicated to the northeast, the northwest, the southeast with the last week of events being held in metropolitan Adelaide.

The Safe Work Awards Dinner was held on Friday 30 October at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Safe Work Month focuses on priority risks and industries and is tailored to meet the needs of employers, workers, health and safety representatives and professionals, offering valuable information and assistance.

South Australia's four major OHS stakeholders, SafeWork SA, WorkCover SA, Business SA and SA Unions, are proud to work hand in hand again this year to stage the Safe Work Month programme.
