South Australian university-based or independent researchers can apply for work health and safety (WHS) Commissioned Research Grants (CRGs) to undertake applied research that helps expand the body of knowledge on the prevention of workplace injury and illness in this state.
$320,000 of new funding is made available each year from SafeWork SA.
In the 2012 round, the Mining and Quarrying OHS Committee (MAQOSHC) may provide additional funding for research into WHS in the mining and/or quarrying industries.
