South Australian university-based or independent researchers can apply for work health and safety (WHS) Commissioned Research Grants (CRGs) to undertake applied research that helps expand the body of knowledge on the prevention of workplace injury and illness in this state.
$320,000 of new funding is made available each year from SafeWork SA.
In the 2013 round, the Mining and Quarrying OHS Committee (MAQOSHC) may provide additional funding for research into WHS in the mining and/or quarrying industries.
The 2013 call for applications opened on Monday 1 July 2013 and closed on Friday 23 August 2013.
Applications must be submitted using the CRG 2013 Application Template (Word 170kb) in accordance with the CRG 2013 Information for Applicants (PDF 172kb).
Applications for research projects must be guided by the broad priorities identified in OHSW Research Strategy for South Australia (PDF 266kb) and the current priority research areas identified in the CRG 2013 Information for Applicants.
