'Accredited Assessors' are trained and qualified individuals who are accredited by SafeWork SA to act on behalf of the agency. In South Australia, Accredited Assessors provide assessments for classes of high risk work.
Their role is to assess the competency of those trained in various classes of work according to certain national training instruments and provide a 'Notice of Satisfactory Assessment' (NSA) for successful assessments. As agents of SafeWork SA, they are bound by South Australian safety legislation.
To find an Accredited Assessor for a class of high risk work, see: Getting a new licence or adding a class.

Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
RTOs provide training for classes of high risk work, load shifting, and a wide range of other areas.
SafeWork SA requires Accredited Assessors to be affiliated with a RTO in order to assess for classes of high risk work.
While Accredited Assessors are administered by SafeWork SA, RTOs are administered by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) in South Australia. See the ASQA website for information on maintaining your RTO registration or amending your scope of registration.
