WHS Innovative Practice Grants

The call for WHS Innovative Practice Grants for 2015-16 has closed.

South Australian organisations with workplace safety responsibilities will be able to apply for Innovative Practice Grants. Funded projects are for the development and dissemination of innovative safety practices with a strong focus on practical application that contribute to the prevention of workplace injuries, diseases and fatalities in South Australia. Proposed projects should be able to be completed within one year at a cost of $50,000 or less.

It is important to note that the projects must have broad relevance and move beyond merely addressing a legal WHS obligation for the applicant (such as safety training or risk management). They must be more than a business venture with benefits only for the applicant.  The outcomes or deliverables must be relevant beyond the site/workplace where the project is conducted. Furthermore, the application must not be for venture capital for commercial product design, development or manufacture.

$650,000 of combined funding is available each financial year for new projects under all grants programs, including the Innovative Practice and Commissioned Research Grants.
