The Daylight Saving Act promotes the longer use of daylight in certain months of the year.

The Standard Time Act 2009 (the Act) fixes standard time throughout South Australia as 9 hours and 30 minutes in advance of Co-ordinated Universal Time, which is an internationally accepted time standard.
