Fireworks

Hazard Alert No 20A - The use of metal equipment with fireworks was re-issued in August 2012.

A spectator was fatally injured and seven other individuals were seriously injured at an organised fireworks display in Queensland, when fireworks being fired from metal mortar tubes malfunctioned. The fireworks exploded within the mortars sending metal shrapnel hundreds of metres into the crowd of spectators.
