Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB)

PCBs are a group of toxic organo-chlorine compounds. While they vary in form, they occur commonly as non-flammable oils in electrical equipment.

PCBs are suspected human carcinogens and are a serious health problem, due to their persistence in the environment, their potential for chronic or delayed toxicity and their accumulation in human and animal tissues.
