Hazard Alert No 110 - Hazards of Reo bars

A formwork employee was gaining access over an approximately 1.2 metre high framework structure that was under construction when the tie wire of the reinforcement being used as a ladder collapsed under his weight, causing the worker to fall approximately 300mm onto an uncapped reinforcement bar.

Hazard Alert No 104 - Steel erection and the use of chemical anchors

SafeWork SA is investigating two separate incidents in which a steel column collapsed while the building was under construction. Both incidents involved the use of chemical anchorages.
