Current certificates or 'tickets' remain valid but must be converted to the nationally recognised Licence to Perform High Risk Work card over time.
To convert your 'ticket' to the new national Licence, there are three simple steps ...
STEP ONE - check the issue date of your oldest 'ticket'
STEP TWO - check its expiry date in the table below
STEP THREE - contact SafeWork SA on 1300 975 909 to start the conversion process.

Conversions will take place over five years, depending on the date of your oldest certificate. These will expire first: any other high risk work qualifications may be converted at the same time. Everyone who wants to convert an existing certificate must telephone 1300 975 909 to start the conversion process.
The conversion process
When you call 1300 975 909, you will be asked to provide details of your current qualifications. Once your details have been confirmed, SafeWork SA will send you a Tax Invoice which must be paid within 60 days of the date of issue. People who have a valid certificate issued after 1 January 1999 can, in most cases, convert this directly to the new Licence to Perform High Risk Work.
Paying for your new Licence
Simply take your Tax Invoice to a Service SA Customer Service Centre or an Australia Post PhotoCapture outlet in South Australia within 60 days of the date of issue. You will need to show 100 points of identification, provide your Tax Invoice, pay $69 (or $37.25 if you are adding a class), provide a signature sample and have your photograph taken.
If you are applying to convert a post 1 January 1999 forklift (class LF) Notice of Satisfactory Assessment (NSA), you must show your valid NSA for forklift operation at the time of payment.
Your application will be processed and your new Licence to Perform High Risk Work card will then be produced and mailed to you.
Please ensure that you keep your receipt as evidence of payment until you receive your Licence.
Please note: A South Australian issued Tax Invoice for a High Risk Work Licence can only be paid at a Service SA Customer Service Centre or Australia Post PhotoCapture outlet within South Australia.
