Hiring staff

When you hire staff for a new business, or add staff to an existing business, you take on responsibilities for ensuring that the workplace is safe for you and your employees.

A new worker is three times more likely to be injured at work than other workers. To avoid injury new workers will require time with their supervisor at the start of a new job to ensure they are properly inducted to the workplace. Outdoor work

Outdoor workers, such as labourers, are at risk from exposure to the elements, especially damage from the sun. The farm environment also poses particular risks from heavy machinery and chemicals. Find out more by viewing safety information on outdoor work.
