The importance of OHS
Occupational health and safety (OHS) is an important workplace behaviour - if we can prevent injury, illness and death at work then all South Australians will benefit.
Each year, nearly 50,000 South Australians are injured, made sick or die due to their work. With an estimated cost to the economy of $2 billion annually, imagine the benefits for each business, and the State, if we could reduce this number.
Improved OHS training and practice will assist us in reducing this cost and making the workplace safer for everyone.
